About: Kool Stop

Kool-Stop International Inc. was started in 1978, in Oregon USA, making friction components for industrial applications. They soon began supplying a few compounds to the bicycle industry. After creating the first bicycle brake pad that had an internal frame and an air cooled heat sink, the company started to build a name for for itself - Kool Stop!

Today Kool Stop are still milling the rubber in their own factory and controlling all of the ingredients in the rubber compounds. They are constantly developing new ideas for compoundswhich will allow them to brake pads and disks that offer ''stopping performance at a fair price''.

Today with world wide distribution, Kool-Stop has carved out a niche in the market for quality brake pads in all areas of the cycling industry. Amba supplies a large range of the Kool Stop pads and discs, all of which are relevant to the UK market. The range is huge with pads and discs with options for wet weather, carbon rims, ceramic coated rims, BMX and dual compounds for whatever riding conditions you may encounter.
